Root canal treatment
Endodontics – In many cases, modern root canal treatment can preserve teeth with inflamed nerves in the long term.
When do we recommend root canal treatment?
If the tooth causes severe pain and a filling cannot heal the tooth, the nerve tissue of the tooth is irrevocably damaged. An X-ray and a vitality test help with the diagnosis.
Before a tooth has to be removed, professional root canal treatment is often advisable in order to preserve the tooth for as long as possible.
Modern root canal treatment
For a professional root canal treatment, additional measures beyond those covered by health insurance are useful.
These include the use of cofferdams, new composite build-ups, endometric length measurement, activation of the irrigation fluid with ultrasound, thermoplastic or laterally condensed filling technique and a bacteria-proof composite closure.
Furthermore, thanks to our digital X-ray technology, the X-rays required during treatment are as low in radiation as possible.
Costs, prognosis of root canal treatment
The cost of root canal treatment depends directly on the amount of treatment expected. You will receive an individual treatment plan in advance of the treatment.
Pain treatment is, of course, a purely statutory service with no private costs.
Not every tooth can be preserved, as the course and shape of the canals also influence the success of the treatment.
The prognosis or long-term success also depends on the individual dental situation. We only offer you root canal treatment if a successful result can be expected.
Nevertheless, root canal treatment is always an attempt to preserve the tooth. A tooth without a living nerve becomes brittle and should therefore be restored with a crown to protect it from fracture.
